    4 lessons | $500

We tailor these private in-home sessions to your needs and work through any problems you are having. During these 4 sessions, we will work on the following commands: heel, sit, place, leave it, wait, down, off and all other basic obedience. This program is all on-leash obedience.

    Advanced Lessons

    8 lessons | $800

The first 4 lessons are the same as the basic obedience lessons. For the next 4, we focus on attaining off-leash obedience as well as proofing all of the basic commands around heavy distractions. I guide you through how to properly introduce and use the e-collar so you can reliably attain off-leash obedience and enjoy off-leash freedom with your dog. This package does not include the e-collar in price.

    Board & Train

    3 weeks | $2,650 includes e-collar

Your dog stays with me in my house the entire time and I train them for you. They will be exposed to all kinds of environments such as parks, Home Depot, restaurants, and many other new environments. This ensures they’re obedient in a variety of environments. The program is tailored to each owner’s specific needs, but every dog learns the following commands on and off leash and around distractions: heel (off and on leash), off leash recall, place, sit (extended-sit), down (extended down), leave it, wait, take, off, and door manners.

Our Training Method

Hey there! I’m Trevor, owner of Cornerstone K9.

As a life-long dog lover, I have always been interested in dog behavior. After getting a dog of my own, I ended up working as a dog trainer at a facility here in Georgia. I developed a passion for educating owners on how to optimize their relationship with their dog and haven’t looked back since.

At Cornerstone K9, we focus on the relationship between the dog and owner first and foremost. Clear communication, structure, leadership, and trust are the cornerstone of every human-to-dog relationship. We focus on building all of these things through the use of obedience and play. Many dogs just need clear guidance from their owners, and I love providing that guidance and educating owners on how to optimize their relationship with their dogs.

Whether it’s off-leash obedience or behavior modification or anything in between I can help owners successfully get to their goals. I am dedicated to improving the owner’s quality of life through the training of their dogs.

  • “Trevor took my stubborn, high energy, out of control rescue puppy and returned an obedient, sweet and playful best friend. Having Cache in off leash mode has been the best gift I’ve ever received. I take her everywhere now. In between errands she tracks down balls, places on benches, and follows commands. I can walk her through a public park with kids, bikes, skateboarders, frisbees flying and dogs everywhere, and know that she will not break stride. Forever grateful for the transformation. Trevor gave Cache and me freedom and peace.”

  • “We recently adopted a rescue dog. She is the sweetest 2-year-old lab mix who constantly was pulling on her leash and not enjoyable when taking her for a walk. We were introduced to Trevor Gorst who helped up with Ella’s training. Trevor worked with us once a week for 5 weeks at our house and at the park, introducing new things to us each week, and the transformation was amazing. Ella now walks nicely with us, she sits when we tell her to sit, she stays put when we tell her to stay put, and when walking past other dogs, she does not automatically want to run to them.

If you have a dog that needs any kind of training, I highly recommend Trevor.”

  • “Trevor recently trained my 70 lb, 1-year-old Golden doodle. My dog is very friendly but didn’t have any impulse control so he pulled hard on the leash when he got excited. After five sessions with Trevor, he now walks by my side as we pass people/dogs/squirrels on the greenway without pulling on the leash etc. He also knows several other commands that have greatly improved his behavior. I highly recommend him. It was a very enjoyable experience.”
